“Only a $5 - $10 Uber to downtown San Francisco or a good 35-minute walk. It was difficult for a group of us to find a triple room, but this hotel was ideal (room 110). The rooms are spacious and clean, there are restaurants and bars close by. The person at reception was helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend to stay here.”

Not only was the hotel quaint and comfortable, the owner Shaina, was unbelievably accommodating to our large group. There are several size rooms and the beds are super cozy and the rooms quiet. Super cute garden in the back too! I will back soon! Thank you for your incredible customer service Shaina!

“Perfect for a small, cozy room. Nice neighborhood and quiet at night. They have hair dryer in the bathroom. The front desk has iron and iron board. There is no elevator so you have to carry everything by yourself up the stairs. The room was clean and very nice!”

“This place is so cute. Rooms were very nice and had all the amenities you would need. No elevator was a bit of a bummer but the charm of the hotel outweighed that. The guy at the front desk was so nice and helpful and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great.”

“Stayed one night traveling for business. All my usual places closer to Market St. & Union Square were WAY above my allotted State of CA rate allowance, so my coworker and I tried The Metro Hotel. I'll be back! Very friendly staff and room 101 was plenty big, exceedingly clean and well-situated. Rode BART to Mission & 16th, then Uber to hotel (10 mins. by car). This room is at the front of the building, right over the lobby, so it was a little noisy with traffic and the neon hotel sign was very bright, but I sleep through almost anything. I'll try a garden room next time. Bathroom was small, but efficient. If you need body lotion, it is not part of their amenities, so bring your own; hairdryer worked well. Hotel staff gave great recommendations for refreshments, including Repose (coffee shop with carb food offerings very close by, and The Grind which has terrific breakfast and lunch offerings that is about 2.5 blocks away). Neighborhood is safe, attractive. The price, location, cleanliness, safe neighborhood and friendly staff made my stay great.”

“Best hotel I've been to in the city! Super quiet and clean, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, amazing rates. I cannot rave about this place enough. They never raise their rates. Very relaxing, well-appointed but simple rooms.”

“Absolutely loved this hotel. We stayed for a night, checked in shortly after 3pm and within minutes we were giving a set of keys.  The lady at the desk was extremely nice, recommending a few places for us to eat before our event.  We stayed in the room on Page street, looks like a studio apartment. Bed, small pull-out couch, TV, Wi-Fi, kitchen, fridge, sink, and other small kitchen gadgets were there. The room and bathroom were nice and clean. Overall excellent vibe, awesome decor and painting on the wall.  I will definitely book a room there again.”

“You truly can't beat this price! The staff is so friendly and nice! She even gave us a map and went in detail where to go and what to see/avoid. Very approachable and as far as the room, it's the perfectly cozy room. The hotel is very close by to bus station and in a great safe neighborhood, definitely coming back to this hotel if and when I come back! Thanks Metro Hotel!”

“Love love LOVE this gem of a hotel in a great neighborhood. Been there so often I think we've checked out every room! Rooms are small, but bathrooms are fresh and new, linens are crispy clean, and the staff makes you feel like you are "coming home". Just can't beat the $.”

“The Metro Hotel is a honey of a hotel. As soon as we crossed the threshold we received a warm welcome and a funny stories from "Miss Gina". Our room was great, a nice comfortable bed, a sofa, plenty of closet space and a great view of the garden. There are good restaurants in the neighborhood and great shopping. Everyone on staff is helpful and friendly. Metro Hotel is a winner. Affordable, stylish, well located and great staff!”

“This is a long overdue review. The Metro is a charming boutique hotel in the Lower Haight neighborhood of San Francisco, and by far one of the best boutique hotels in which I've had the pleasure of staying. Our room was on the second floor and was relatively small, but absolutely cozy. One queen bed, a television, nightstand with a lamp, two large windows, a ceiling fan, and ample bathroom quarters. Our bed and blankets were amazingly comfortable and very clean. What is exceptional about this place is the service. It was my boyfriend and I's first time in San Francisco, and we really didn't know where to start. Shana did not hesitate to help us out. We had told her we were planning to attend Outside Lands and she, being a veteran of the festival herself, gave us pointers to having the best possible experience. She then provided us with a map of the city and told us where to buy our MUNI passes, which routes to take to get to the most popular destinations. I can say without a doubt that our experience would have been a lot less enjoyable without Shana's help. Overall, our experience here was amazing. Metro, we will see you again this summer!”

“The Metro Hotel is fantastic. Still feel like I got the deal of the century staying here. We chose the hotel based on price and proximity to The Independent where we saw a concert. But I would stay here again even without a concert to attend. The staff is very friendly and upon walking out on our check-out day, I saw that no two rooms are alike. The room was clean, simple, with a large closet and one of the most comfortable beds I've laid on in a hotel. The garden view was very pretty with minimal outside noise. The hotel location is fantastic, providing access to different cafes, restaurants, and quirky shops. I'm so glad to have found this gem in the city and am looking forward to our next trip back!”
